A Doll's Coven

Program Facilitator, Fundraiser
“A Doll’s Coven” is a community project that combines an artistic skill-building program focused on devising, acting, scriptwriting, and interpretive performance art with an ongoing collective art cohort. This initiative invites participants to collaborate on new theatre projects centred on diaspora and immigrant narratives, as well as transnational activism. The project aims to elevate community members by enhancing their storytelling skills through performing arts, emphasizing devising and verbatim approaches that reflect personal narratives. Guided by professional BIPOC theatre artists from Toronto, participants will engage in mentorship and experiential learning, collaborating to create a cohesive theatre piece while refining their skills in scriptwriting, acting, and visual storytelling. This inclusive approach fosters a creative environment that empowers youth to innovate in theatre.
